Come with me: To the beautiful blue Danube! Who doesn’t know the legendary “Danube Waltz”? It is one of the most popular works of classical music, often referred to as the “world’s first pop song,” unofficially considered Austria’s second national anthem, and always the highlight of the Vienna Philharmonic’s New Year’s Concert. The Danube, one of the most famous rivers in Europe, flows through ten countries on its journey. The magic of its unique natural landscapes has always been a source of inspiration for poetry, fairy tales, myths, painting, and music. With Steinway Artist Maximilian Schairer, we will celebrate the 200th birthday of the “Waltz King” Johann Strauss (son) in 2025 and also learn more about the fascinating instrument that is the piano and its mechanics. | Kulturdate – School workshop in cooperation with the European Cultural Forum Mainau, Markelfingen Elementary School and Radolfzell Music School
